Much of our work is focused on physiological and safety needs, but it is important not to forget the nuances that make up a person. Belonging, self-esteem, and self-actualization are equally important for a dignified life. Sport can be a bridge towards those aspects of life. Something normal is sometimes underrated, but we can see how important it is!
A few weeks ago our team in Iraqi Kurdistan made a visit to the Dibaga Camp outside of Erbil to meet some of the local football players.
Twenty young football players received t-shirts, shoes, and tracksuits and our team got to join them when playing. Some items were also donated to the Dibaga Cultural Center.
