On the third Thursday of presenting "6 years in Iraq - Stories of displacement and refuge", we wanted to highlight the situation children face growing up in camps.
A child's right to play is enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. For children in camp, play provides a distraction from the everyday struggle — But the opportunity to play is limited, and the trauma of displacement follows children in their daily life, stifling their creativity and the lightness that should accompany childhood.
If you want to learn more about the significance of children’s fantasy or are interested in seeing more stories of people we serve, visit our photo exhibition: https://lnkd.in/dZZCDZb
