Your Kindness Is Huge

In the Iraqi Kurdistan refugee camps life is very difficult. Kurdistan in general has no industry, most everything is imported, so there are no jobs.

When the general civilian population have no employment possibilities, things look even more bleak for those living in refugee camps. Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation developed a sewing initiative within one camp (Bahrka Camp) as a pilot to promote creation of handbags.

The investment of time by others to train women living in the camp to sew these bags has been HUGE. Bring Hope now has hundreds of bags that will be sold, and many more will be created which provide inspiration for the women living in the camps and gives them an investment in their community, so they want to be part of Kurdistan or Iraq, in general.

They see a possible future, a way to help support themselves and their family, and they become part of a culture, their culture. “Sewing Hope” bags are now available, to sponsor them or place them in your own Fair Trade shops, contact us.

Everyone can bring hope

BHHF’s primary objective of humanitarian aid is to save lives, alleviate suffering, as well as to give the most vulnerable group (displaced children) hope for the future. BHHF has provided humanitarian aid with short-term and long-term help to homeless refugees, victims of natural disasters, wars and famines, and poor people.

Heartwarming news. Once a month.
