Wasting Away

On 6 August 2017 is it possible that people are still starving? The answer is an unbelievable yes. In Bajid Kandal Refugee Camp in Duhok Province of Iraqi Kurdistan lives Amal Jamil with her father and small sister. They are from Shengal, their mother was killed by ISIS and they are starving. Her father is sick and she cares for her small sister. Amal tells Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation workers that she and her family suffer “a lot from hunger, we have no clothes to wear and not enough to eat.”

Shengal is now free from ISIS, but the city was destroyed, there is no electricity and no clean water. There is also much political conflict and so Amal Kamil and her family live here, in this refugee camp, with little hope of ever leaving or of having a better life.

Today, Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation provided the residents of this camp, food, clothes and milk powder. But, so much more are the needs of these people who have endured so much and who now live as displaced people within their own country while they starve and lose all hope. To help make a suffering person smile, see bringhope.info.

Everyone can bring hope

BHHF’s primary objective of humanitarian aid is to save lives, alleviate suffering, as well as to give the most vulnerable group (displaced children) hope for the future. BHHF has provided humanitarian aid with short-term and long-term help to homeless refugees, victims of natural disasters, wars and famines, and poor people.

Heartwarming news. Once a month.
