Volunteers in Kurdistan
It has been another momentous day at Kawrgosk Refugee Camp in Erbil Province. Volunteers Ture, Ole and Per Ove from Europe have arrived here to play a little football & distribute 20 packages of football kits and sport clothes for 20 teams, with an estimated value of more than $1200.
The volunteer team, in cooperation with the Bring Hope Team, are completing tours around Kawrgosk camp and will be doing interviews with the refugees in order to identify their needs and requirements. We have been taking pictures and playing with the children – the children were very happy!
These volunteers are spending several days in Kurdistan, visiting various camps and traveling amongst different Provinces. Sponsored by Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation, activities on the ground include, distribution of humanitarian aid and activities to promote hope, such as football, basketball and other activities.
Bring Hope is the only humanitarian foundation that continues to engage in these activities in the Kurdistan region, to help raise awareness of the plight of people living in the various refugee camps here. Bring Hope develops these activities to enhance humanitarian programs, with the aim to keep children and adults living in the camps hopeful about their future.
