The story of Rawa
Mosul, Iraq has been the hotbed of fighting for years. Rawa Abas Hassan lived in Mosul until ISIS forced her to make the decision to escape. She is a widow with three daughters, Dmue, age 14, Amina, age 12 and Shayma, age 8. They live in a tent in Bahrka Refugee Camp…Iraqi,Kurdistan.
Like millions of others who were forced to flee from the atrocities ISIS carried out in Mosul, she witnessed killings. Her uncle’s and friends were killed by ISIS.
She needs her tonsils removed but cannot afford the surgery. She tells Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation that she and her family used to have a good life in Mosul but now they have nothing, crying she states her daughter has asthma and everyone wants to go home to Mosul.
After 3 years in this camp she asks humanitarian organizations to help her and her family.
