Shan Muhammad
In the countryside of Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan lies Hasan Sham U2 refugee camp. The people in this camp are from Syria, Mosul, Sinjar and could be Muslim, Yazidi or Christian. They arrived here to escape the ravages of war.
Meet Shan Muhammad, a 24-year-old with a wife and 2 children. He desperately wants to return home where the family lived a normal life with freedom to go places and do things they wanted to do. He was a carpenter.
Three years ago, the family was forced from their home in Zamar because of ISIS. They had left their home several times because of ISIS but finally they decided to leave and found shelter in this camp.
There is a school here, but not a kindergarten. They need food, medical care and wish for a generator for electricity. The children suffer from asthma.
Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation has been the only foundation to deliver on their promises to the people in the camp. Shan Muhammad states the help received from Bring Hope has been essential for their daily living and needs. To help Bring Hope do more see bringhope.info
