Rain and Floods Increase Suffering of Refugees

Over 240,000 Syrian refugees have entered Iraq since the beginning of the Syrian crisis. Most reside within the three northern governorates of Duhok, Erbil, and Sulaymaniyah. Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation visited Basirma Refugee Camp on 17 February 2018 with Paywand Jaff, the Kurdish singer whose voice helped provide relief to rain and flood weary residents of the camp. 3000 Syrian refugees live in Basirma Camp, and life here has been challenging since the rains have continued making it difficult to navigate the camp in the cold and wet without proper footwear.

Bring Hope provided 600 packages of clothes and another 600 Hunter boots to help keep families warm and increase their ability to move around within a rain soaked camp.

During this winter season, Bring Hope has provided refugees with help such as protection, provided critical emergency assistance, shelter, blankets, goods, food, boots, and health services including medicines all because people matter most. To be part of this amazing journey, see bringhope.info.

Everyone can bring hope

BHHF’s primary objective of humanitarian aid is to save lives, alleviate suffering, as well as to give the most vulnerable group (displaced children) hope for the future. BHHF has provided humanitarian aid with short-term and long-term help to homeless refugees, victims of natural disasters, wars and famines, and poor people.

Heartwarming news. Once a month.
