Hevi NGO Receives DTP’s
Telafer, a town near Mosul was recently liberated from ISIS. Hevi NGO works to provide IDP’s assistance in treating health conditions, whether acute or chronic. Today, 14 August 2017, Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation is again providing Hevi NGO with a means to help those suffering and in need of medical aid. DTP’s or doctor travel packs contain the most needed medicines. The medical aid contained in these packs has been chosen based on accumulated research of conditions and needs of people who have been in war ravaged areas or in need of disaster relief.
Hevi, working mostly in northern Iraq, operates 20 static health facilities and 2 mobile clinics. Their work is concentrated in crisis affected areas. According to a Hevi spokesperson, staff and human resources is not the problem, but obtaining medicines and medical equipment is where the biggest gap lies. Hevi visited the main warehouses of Bring Hope to pick up additional and much needed resources mainly to be used in their mobile medical clinics. They received approximately $48,000 worth of DTP’s for help in treating these most vulnerable civilians. To join the effort in helping those most in need, see bringhope.info.
