Hana Institute for the Disabled
Hana Institute serving disabled women and young boys (through adolescents) located in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan has many departments to help address various interests of these clients. These include handicrafts, sewing, computer skills, drawing, and carpentry. With more than 80 disabled adults using these services, Hana Institute provides a much-needed facility for people to connect, learn skills, have fun and feel part of the greater community.
On 15 May 2018 Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation, as part of our on-going initiative to support the disabled, distributed packages of clothes and body care products supplied through a donation from Johnson & Johnson during the graduation ceremony held by Hana. Bring Hope is proud to be the initial supporter of Hana Institute for the Disabled and will continue our support for this marginalized population.
Hana’s Director, Dlxwaz told Bring Hope, “We try to treat each person as a unique individual and teach them that even though life may be hard, we need to be strong to reach our life goals.” If you would like to be part of helping this unique population and give hope to those in need, see bringhope.info.
