Bringing Some Fun to School

About a week ago our Bring Hope team visited Awez Kindergarten and Renas school. Both are located in the city of Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan. It is important for children to get a good education, being able to dream about the future and to grow up to be confident in themselves and their talents. To make sure that children can work towards that future it is important that they have a safe space to learn and grow in and teachers who are compassionate, supportive, loving, kind and will motivate their students to learn. To be able to grow, develop and nurture talent, social skills and motivation it is important that children can express themselves creatively. To be able to play is a huge part of that creative outlet that they need.

However a lot of the children in the Awez Kindergarten and Renas school don’t have a lot of toys, or toys at all for that matter, because their families simply can’t afford toys. And often schools don’t have the financial resources either to have enough toys and creative materials for all of their students.

Fortunately, our team was able to provide small gifts with toys for all 117 children. It’s important to show them that there is a future and that there are people who are in their corner and will be rooting for them. To show them kindness and to make sure they get a chance to play, develop their social skills and have lots of fun together with their friends. Because for kids it is and should be all about having fun!

Everyone can bring hope

BHHF’s primary objective of humanitarian aid is to save lives, alleviate suffering, as well as to give the most vulnerable group (displaced children) hope for the future. BHHF has provided humanitarian aid with short-term and long-term help to homeless refugees, victims of natural disasters, wars and famines, and poor people.

Heartwarming news. Once a month.

Thank you!
