Benedicta Ricohermozo is Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation’s Assistant Regional Officer in Dubai.
She has a bachelor’s degree in management and completed her master’s in business administration from Philippine Women’s University. Benedicta is equipped with extensive experience of working with government and non-government offices, and the United Nations in various fields such as project management, support and administration, asset management and inventory control, and logistics operations. She is also an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Lead Auditor.
While working for the Philippine government, she initiated and conceptualized the project Integrated Blood Bank Information System at the National Voluntary Blood Services Program (NVBSP), Department of Health which aims to improve operational efficiency of blood service facilities in the Philippines. In 2007, she joined the United Nations Department of Safety & Security (UNDSS) as Help Desk Regional Associate handling a web-based system for security clearance requests before taking the role of Associate Asset Manager position in the Dubai Logistics Hub in 2009. Her functional area of responsibilities in the UN office has given more insights of responding to emergencies and broadened her knowledge and understanding of humanitarian logistics operations on the ground.
Benedicta found her innate source of joy and fulfillment by helping others in her own special ways and she continuously devotes her spare time to volunteer work to honor her parents who both were dedicated local public educators. She believes that her personal aspirations and respect for diversity align with the core values of the organisation; and that joining BHHF is another great opportunity for her to help contribute to bringing hope to people in need.
