Basirma Camp

Fatima Abdel Karim is 39 years old. Fatima has two boys, Dirsem, 15 and Bland, 9 who live with her in Basirma Refugee Camp. They are from Syria where her husband is currently because he is mentally ill and no one from the camps could treat him because of the severity of his condition. He lives alone in a cold, stark room.

Fatima has no one to help her feed her family. Both boys need glasses, but she cannot get help for this, she needs a knee operation, but has also been unable to have her knee fixed. Dirsem and Bland feel bad about their situation but they are also typical youngsters and ask their mom to buy them things…she, of course, cannot provide these things and so the cycle continues every day, everyone in the family feeling bad about everything.

Fatima is suffering and alone, she cannot feed her family and she has no help, no one to turn to, so she has sold her things. Things like her pillows and sponges, whatever she can to feed her children. She is afraid to return to Syria as there is no one there to help her either.

Fatima smiled and was thankful for the boots and clothes given to her by Bring Hope on 12 February 2018 which will keep her and her family warmer through the winter. To help Fatima or those like her, see bringhope.info.

Everyone can bring hope

BHHF’s primary objective of humanitarian aid is to save lives, alleviate suffering, as well as to give the most vulnerable group (displaced children) hope for the future. BHHF has provided humanitarian aid with short-term and long-term help to homeless refugees, victims of natural disasters, wars and famines, and poor people.

Heartwarming news. Once a month.

Thank you!
