Social Media and Communications Officer

Bring Hope Humanitarian Foundation is looking for a Social Media and Communications Officer to join our team in Sweden, Malmö.

We are looking for a Social Media and Communication Officer passionate about the 'Humanitarian cause.

Are you interested in subjects, like humanitarian aid and sustainable development? Are you a student or a graduate from Social Sciences, Humanities, Media, or Communications who wants to be part of a international NGO? Then this internship position is the right opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:


·       Manage BHHF Social (Media) platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc)

o   Create original content

o   Manage follower engagement

o   Drive traffic towards BHHF website

·       Create and publish monthly BHHF subscriber newsletter

·       Manage the production and creation of promotional and informative materials

·       Cooperate with partners to create stories of BHHF work

·       Ensure ethical and fair processes regarding photography, videography and personal data use in BHHF internal/external communication

·       Strengthen BHHF brand awareness and credibility through coherence in external/internal communication

·       Ensure the content created is in line with BHHF communications and social media strategy


Job Requirements and Qualifications:


•       Previous experience with coordinating social media accounts and platforms

•       Degree in the field of Humanities or Social Sciences recommended OR a previous voluntary experience in the field of humanitarian aid, sustainable development, and similar

•       Strong writing skills in English (mandatory)

•       Good knowledge of LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and other social media best practices

•       Good knowledge of CANVA/In-Design/Photoshop/ Adobe Creative Suite – for both graphic and video content creation and editing

•       Creative mind – able to think ‘outside the box’ and come up with innovative approaches of how to reach BHHF’s target audiences

•       Excellent time-management and multitasking skills

•       Critical thinker and problem-solver

•       Able to work individually and as a part of a team

•       Great interpersonal and communication skills

•       Excellent at organizing your own work

·       Please note that we require our interns to be able to travel to our HQ in Malmö, therefore we require interns to be based nearby. You will be required to physically join us in the office for a couple of days each week.

We are looking for someone to start immediately, so please ensure that this is possible for you before applying. We require a minimum of four months commitment.
